“I contacted Greg because I was so frustrated with the changes, or lack there of, in my body after years of being a dance studio owner, runner, and now Crossfitter. Before working with Greg I tried using templates from a company, essentially tracking macros, but soon learned that I was under-eating pretty tremendously. Enter Greg and Myobrain. It was going to be my first time training for the CFG as an individual athlete. I knew the training volume was going to be hard, and I knew it was going to be very taxing on my body! Knowing that I needed to eat for performance, Greg was a huge help in taking the guess work out of what I needed to do just that! Weekly check-ins, paying careful attention to any weight changes, updates on how I was feeling, how training was going, how I’m balancing sleep/training/life, etc…. nutrition can impact so much of our lives and Greg understood that and would make adjustments as needed week-by-week. I’ve also learned how to manage my weight through a full season of CrossFit - when it’s a good time to add a few lbs. and gain some strength, when it’s time to shave a pound or two off for competition, etc… And what I love about that the most is that it keeps “boring” out of the equation!

I have always eaten whatever I want. To an extent. I know what is good and what is bad for me but I have never dieted. I never counted or even kept track of what I was eating during the day until I started dealing with macros.  

August of 2015, my appendix ruptured and I was misdiagnosed so I tiny problem became a HUGE problem. I got very, very sick! I lost 28 pounds in 12 days. I was gross. Ha.  

For the next few months I couldn't do anything active at all. I wanted to gain some weight back without getting fat! I heard about Greg, Myobrain and his whole macro thing so I decided to email him with some questions.  

I signed up with him and have been with Myobrain ever since. At first I hated it haha. I had to eat so much food. It was hard. But! I gained my weight back and didn't get fat...My goal.  

I still enjoy counting macros and knowing how much food I'm eating or not eating. It has really helped my performance in CrossFit. I eat more than I ever have. I'm strong, my energy level stays high and I still manage to stay lean. I love it!
